Audio Engineer

Hi I’m Morgan, I’m a freelance Audio Engineer from Busselton, Western Australia.

​

I specialise in all aspects of live audio production including music, theatre, dance, public address, and installation audio. My career began working for local production companies in the South West of Western Australia before transitioning into leadership, management and technical role as a Performing Arts Technician for a regional high school. From a young age I have been practicing all forms of live audio production along with developing and practicing skills in Lighting, Mechanist Work, Stage Management, and Audio Visual operations.

To further my audio skill set, I have competed my Bachelor of Performing Arts, specialising in Audio.

​

In addition to my tertiary training, in 2021 I have completed my Dogging and Basic Rigging Training, Elevated Work Platform (Over 11m) licence, Forklift Truck licence, Working at Heights Licence and Enter and Work in Confined Spaces licence, further increasing my production skill set.

​

In 2022, I completed Intermediate Rigging and First Aid Qualifications to diversity my skill set. 

 

Whilst studying full time I maintained constant employment within the industry, working as an Audio Engineer and Mechanist at Perth Concert Hall, working for Event Personnel Australia as a licensed rigger at RAC Arena hanging audio and lighting points, and as a casual Audio Technician at Crown Perth’s Theatre.

In 2022 I was full time as the Head of Audio at Albany Entertainment Centre, working with a variety of artists performing music and theatre, designing new console and loudspeaker systems and woking in a team to maintain and upgrade Albany's premiere live performance venue.

​

I'm currently working a the Production Manager at Sound Pro, a Busselton based production company, leading a team of staff to provide the highest quality audio, lighting and audiovisual production services in the Southwest of WA.

I am passionate about audio work in the entertainment industry and I consistently apply my practical skills, leadership, teamwork ability, problem solving skills, interpersonal skills and significant industry knowledge to my working environment. I look forward to working with you in the future.
